JoAnn~ You've made me so happy!

So. JoAnn's is having a sale this week because of Veteran's day! I mean, some of the items that aren't on sale should be but whatever...I'll be happy with what I can get! Today it was gloomy and raining so I went with Kailey to JoAnn's. We bought some fabric. I didn't buy all I need because I NEED A LOT but I bought some stuff to work on which made me happy.

I bought some fabric for my Rikku and Bridget costume. Yay~ I know, my costumes keep changing. I think the costumes I REALLY want to work on for the first half of next year are going to be (in all honesty):

I'm sorry Fado but I cannot break bread with you any longer. =_= I mean...you will be sent to the end of the list right now. I'm just upset with how my "tunics" come out. I suck at them. I FAIL and I hate it. So I don't want to work on Fado for a long time.

What does this mean, Miss Sheik?

This means Miki takes his place. Yay! I've been saving so many pictures of her so I can have all the right angles for the best references. I REALLY adore her outfit and voice. She's just so cute. I'm pretty excited for this costume. I've decided I would love to take her to AOD along with Sheik and Lavi. :] I know I'd love for Squalo to go as well but I'm not so sure I'll have enough time to cosplay as him during the whole 2 days of AOD. It's a sad thought, but a true one at that. I think I will work on Squalo after AOD because I'd love to take him to Fanime.

Right now I'm having trouble finding the perfect wig for Miki. Her hair color is always a little different in the pictures I have but it looks to me like it's an orange with like a hint of red or pink in there. It's a lovely color and I DID find a wig that could work but I lost the bid for it and so I am still looking. UGH. Oh well, I will find it.


OH YEAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased something AMAZINGLY AMAZING the other night and I won't tell what it is until it comes in the mail. I will take one photo and post it online. I'm super excited about it too. It was a nice handful of monies but I had to. I don't regret it at all. Not one bit. :D

Anyway, I said I'd go like 20 mins ago on facebook so I am going now.

Vocaloid. OY!

I had sworn I would NEVER EVER EVER cosplay a vocaloid and guess what happened? I FOUND HER. Freakin' SF-A2 Miki, a new vocaloid from another program. She's so adorable. I love her hair (aside from the fact that long wigs suck..) and I ADORE her little cyber outfit. Her voice is kind of raspy in some songs and I love it. She's just too cute and after listening to a lot of vocaloid songs and attempting to learn the famous Love*Joy song I've come to accept the fact that I will indeed be cosplaying as a vocaloid. XD I'm sorry if I have disappointed any of my followers. Ah, I can't wait to be a cute little singing robot girl.~

Ahem. Aside from that I will be pulling out some fabric for my Sheik costume and working on it soon. Perhaps even tomorrow. I REALLY want to and need to. I don't know why I have been slacking ;__; AGHHHH. In anycase I think I'll add one of my favorite songs of Miki and then say good night. :3

Sheik Got the Job!

Yes I did. I got the job! I'm super happy to be working now. I will be earnin' my money and earning experience working with children.. eep!
It's going to be an adventure but I definitely need to grow up.

So on the topic of cosplay since this IS suppose to be my "nerdism" blog... I have been really leaning toward cosplay OOT Sheik again. I mean I never let the dream go. I just really think I am ready to make it. I have avoided spandex for a few reasons but I might...just might..cheat and work off an already made zentai suit. I don't know. It depends. I won't work with shiney. At least I'm hoping I can avoid it. :[ Any thoughts on this?

I really love Sheik. Obviously. So I want everything accurate. I will look for the perfect wig and I will get my eyes checked eventually for good contacts so that I can have the red eyes.
I even want to start stretching and perfecting cartwheels so I can do some awesome photo posin'.
I LOVE SHEIK. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND. It must be perfect. Or close to that. ;__; She is just an awesome character. Yes, I refer to Sheik as a female. :P

On another note, I started playing Spirit tracks again. It's pretty fun and cute. Kind of annoying dealing with that..tower thing but uh aside from sneaking around bad guys, it's fun. :] I haven't been playing Harvest Moon as much but I'm in Winter of the first year and Julius has NOT asked me out. =__= How will I ever get married at this rate? I've given him soooo many presents and he only has 3 hears meaning we're just friends. This game made becoming more than friends way harder than it really is. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree...seeing as he loves perfume, roses and pumpkins but I dunno. I might have a chance! AHEM.

But ah..yeah. I posted a new video on my youtube today. You can check it out if you'd like. I think I will go now though. My tummy hurts. ;___;

I had a photoshoot yesterday. It was really windy though so I had to keep fixing my hair and wings. I still had fun though. My sister was the photographer, isn't she great? :D Kay-chan was there too, she was filming....totally pulling off her Tomoyo cosplay, except in regular clothing! Hehe. But yaaaaaaaah, it was great.

I love my Princess Agithat cosplay A LOT I just hate how it takes a while to get into it because of all the details I have to becareful with and the ones I need to add on after putting on the dress. I'm not sure what con she will be going to next, it might be Sac Anime...or it might just be AOD or something. I'm not sure ^___^;

For now though I have some other costumes to work on so she will stay safely hidden in my closet of costumes and junk. I seriously need to clean that thing out. :(!

I feel Crappy and it's Great!!!

Okay. So I don't feel that crappy, which is rare but it happens and I'm so glad. Ahem, as many of you may remember I was worried about a little present from mother nature not arriving before Fanime... well it HAS so I am GLAD. :D!!!!!!!!!! I won't be bloated, sick, cramping and worried in my off white costumes this weekend. I'll be okay. w00t. So that's some relief off my shoulders!

As Blanche always says, "Better late than..pregnant!" Ahem..ehh..if you don't watch Golden Girls then nevermind XD!!!!!

Alright so I am pretty much DONE with Agitha's outfit. All I need to do now is run down to the hardware store and buy some grommets for the back of the dress because I ran out. I also need to add the anklets she has goin' on and theeen add the butterfly wings to the back of her dress. I think I'll just use velcro, so they can just kind of stick to my back... o.O; They're really light weight seeing as they are only craft foam. The other butterflies along the front will be safety pinned to the front. This way I won't have to worry about ruining them when the dress is packed away in it's plastic dress protector thing... they'll be put away in something else.

I have a feeling that this week is going to fly by really fast!!! O_O; Are you guys ready for Fanime? It's this Friday. -PEES-

2:40 Am. Why am I up?

I shouldn't be awake. I should sleep, but instead I'm up.

I actually am tired though..I did cleaning, started on a drawing for the Fair's art show thing and then worked on cosplay... What did I get done you wonder? Well.........

I finally attached the red ball to Mercedes' outfit. I made the bugs that go in the jars out of air dry clay so tomorrow they should be dry enough to paint. I also...cut out the wings for the back of Agitha's dress and started painting layers of glue on to harden the craft foam. Mmm I finished the blanket for the basket today too except I was WANTING to add lace along the bottom but all I could find was an off white lace. She actually has this weird..kind of..thing going on along the edges of the cloth but I'm not sure what that's all about so I'm not doing it.

Ahhhh...I went through some of the boxes I have in the garage. They're full of the stuff I use to have at my dad's until he moved. :[ Now I have tons of stuff in boxes and there's no room in my room here at my mom's... ;/ bleh.

OH MY GAWD!! Work, work, work..

Wow. I did not mean to rhyme but whatever!

Soooo I'm kind of....FREAKING OUT HERE.... but that's normal when you have like 50 things to do for 2 costumes.

Yeah, only 2. If only they were simple...... but noooo, Agitha has so many tiny details that in order to even know how many she has you would have to analyze a photo of her for like....10 mins. I know some characters are worse but believe me, she's still complicated. Most of the stuff is stuff that doesn't exactly exist. Her pattern for the dress does not exist. I'm talking about the weird swirlies on the dress, the weird bug jewelry,the weird off colors, the jars she carries. Yah.....sooo guess who gets to paint that on with a made up stencil and fabric paint =D!!!!!!!!!! Yay me!! -_________________- I also have the rest of her dress to sew, there's like layers of stuff....and details too.

-Sigh- Her butterflies took like 3 hours just to paint several layers and add the detailed dots on there. I had to have a few colors out so I could use them all while I painted. I couldn't go fast either because as much as I WANT to rush.. I can't afford to because then it'll all look like crap. :[

-breathes- I won't even get started on my Mercedes costume.

Okay. I lied. I will. I need to make her giant crossbow AND wings...from scratch. No base wings pre-made or whatever..... and then I need to redo some of her costume because it bugs me how wrong it is. :( I won't have contacts for her either because I'd have to get my eyes checked ANd then buy the contacts on top of that. It would be around $100 without my insurance and stuff so yaaaah.....not happening anytime soon.

.________. -cries a little inside- I have a few weeks left...and this all must be done. Not just done. Done right. Everything takes long. The day is already ending and all I did was the butterflies and stuff. I'm not stopping now though. I'm going to go back to the basket for Agitha and work on that then make some of the bugs that go inside the jars. Yep...

Bye for now. Oh and yes, it will be worth it in the end but for now. I complain because it makes me feel better :D!!!!!!!!

P.S. This is NOT the wig I will be using. My wig is on its way. Apparently they had to prepare it so it took...20 days and now it's suppose to take like 7-20 just to get to me! Most people said the shipping is fast though O.O; We'll see.

My hard drive may have fried, but not the memories.

So my hard drive FRIED...or something like that. I kept it in its case while using it (External hard drive, mind you...) and apparently I wasn't suppose to but I thought I was...so the stupid thing over heated and died.

u__u I was in the middle of a project too! It said something about an error..and a crash and I restarted the computer. Luckily the laptop I'm on is fine, it was just my external HD that died... :[

I won't be working on any cosplay today, I don't think. I just want to play more Spirit Tracks (Yep! I finally have the game in my possession...). It's such a fun game. I love Zelda.

I haven't actually COSPLAYED her! (Yes, I see Sheik as a female because she is Zelda..oops..spoiler..Seriously though, if you haven't beaten OOT you're like..fail :[)

Anyway.

Most of you know I cosplayed my own version of a dark sheik. (before I even knew of the SSBBrawl version...)

But now I've realised... I NEED to do the original version:

I am going to set a goal to finish this costume by the end of the year. The only reason why it might take a while is because I might not have the money for the body suit. They tend to cost around $30-50...so we'll see!

3-4-10 Progress Photos!

I got some work done today:
-Finished the other pleated sleeve for Mercedes.
-Cut and sewed the obi/wrap for Agitha.
-Cut out the dark gray detailing for Agitha.
-Sewed up some areas that were just pinned on Agitha's dress top.

^~^! So yeah, more work tomorrow if we don't go anywhere.

Yeeeeeeeep. I got a bit of progress done today!! Robby's mom let me use her sewing machine. She also gave me this hand sewing machine thing...for like emergencies (convention problems!) so I thought that was pretty cool.

^~^ Oh yeah, aside from getting progress done on Agitha's dress, I found some shoes for my Mercedes cosplay! w000h000! I found them at Wal-Mart. I was going to buy them and then Robby said he would just pay for it.. I don't know why... It might have been because I was getting some bad anxiety and he probably felt bad. I don't know, he's really nice though T-T


Tomorrow I'll try and make a video. I don't know though because my cousin who lives here in Texas will be coming to see me. D: So yah. We'll see! Good night.

Camping out for Zelda? No?! >:O

I know I haven't really ranted in this blog, which is a good thing. I'm sure there's enough drama in your life... why would you want to read about mine? No, I'm not going to bash someone in this blog or really give you all the dramatic details (because there really aren't any XD). I just got a bit upset the other day, but luckily thanks to my best female friend, I was able to get over it and feel better.

If you don't game, or aren't a big Zelda fan...you probably won't care but maybe you could think of a game you'd really like? ANYWAY. The thing was...I was talking to Robby on msn last night, yes MSN...because we're long distance at the moment. [He comes home in December for good though!] So yeah, on msn chattin' it up. I asked him if he'd camp out with me when the new Zelda game(for wii) comes out, which would probably be around year 2011. So it's a while from now. I explained how it would be really cool since we're big Zelda fans and it would show our devotion! :D Hoping that he would be like, "Sure babe." Or whatever he started giving a whole dang lecture on how it's more "intelligent" to just reserve a copy online and have it mailed to your house. Totally missing my point, I argued back a bit. I didn't call him names or anything (Until later, I called him boring..poor guy..but seriously :O!). I felt so disappointed. He told me how those days had passed and he would probably have more important things to do like school and work. I understood that, because I plan on having the same responsibilities as him. I told him, "When you really like something, taking 1 day off is NOT going to ruin your life." He soon became quiet and I told him I'm just someone who likes to have fun, even if it seems going an extra mile...I will go it for the feeling of it! It's like walking around at a Con or even GOING. You can show off your costume with just pictures online, or you can walk around bruising your feet but being able to enjoy the outcome of it all. (I didn't tell him all that but uh, just adding that in). Anyway...I guess he felt bad that he put me in a bad mood so he popped up a Tic Tac Toe game on msn. I was like "..." I played and beat him. I felt a liiiittle better. (Oh he also dissed Tetris and my love for drumming on Guitar Hero) The game can be annoying but I love playing the drums. UGH. So yeah...it was all frustrating until Keika talks to me and I explain what happened and she volunteers to visit me (or I visit her) and we'd camp out in front of whatever store we chose, play our DS games or chat with other Zelda fans who would be waiting and have a good time. Oh I'd want to cosplay too. Probably dress as Saria or someone comfortable. Princess Agitha is NOT the most comfortable of outfits. It's not even done but I know it won't be comfortable and it's a freakin' dress. XD

In anycase, we ended up okay. Arguments happen when you're close to someone and you feel disappointed. He was just being himself. Someone who had to grow up really fast. It's quite sad... He does do fun things, don't get me wrong. We've had a lot of great times...sometimes he just makes boring decisions and acts like he's 60 years old. I know, that's mean but it's true. I still love him though and I know he's just a very logical person but TOO logical sometimes. We're young...we need to have some fun! (As long as it's...safe >.>;).

Anyway, this is why I'm glad we have friends. A partner can't always be there for EVERYTHING or enjoy EVERYTHING you do. But Friends? They're pretty much on your side with almost everything...if you're like BFF's. Although I do consider Robby a best friend, there's a difference with girl best friends and him being my male best friend.^~^; I love my friends. We're all crazy and kind of grew up the same. We have our fights too but uh..friends are just a really special thing and I will miss them when I move. :( I do have friends in Texas but...I will miss my friends. Hopefully some of the other friends who already moved will be able to visit me. BROOKELYNN. :O!!! Or Jeska!

Ahh. Well I'm sorry if this blog was annoying. I hope I didn't sound like a little brat whining. :[ I do love my fiance and we don't have many fights (Anymore..we've grown up a little.. XD). But uh, sometimes I just feel like writing it all out AND I wasn't sure what else to write. I'd like to keep this blog about games and other nerdy stuff I do. :]



Oh and he wants to get me some Mini Ninja game. It looks kind of cute, a bit kiddy but he said it's suppose to be cool and fun. =P I don't mind getting games as a gift..maybe it's a making-up gift? I don't know. Suppose I will try it out. I think he's getting the wii one. At least I can be a Kunoichi!

Nostalgia

I'm over at my friend's house right now. Not too sleepy so I'm leaving a post before going to sleep!

We played Ocarina of Time(Zelda..DUH) becaauuse Robbie had never played it!! O_O NEVER. How could this be, you ask? I do not know! I played most of it...but uh, she gets to do Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly. I hate that 'temple' XD! Hehe... We were going to finish it tonight but we're too tired...and it bugged me so I didn't want to play it tonight.

Ah...I still love the game. I can't wait until Link grows up. I use to have the fattest crush on him. Seriously. Wait...............I STILL do. >:D Ahh..Link....why are you so cute, in all your cheap graphic-ness? (Except Twilight Princess...He got smoother). Teehee. I love Zelda!

I still plan on getting the Triforce or Royal crest symbol tattooed on me. I'm thinking the back of my neck... :3

I want a PS3

So unfortunately, I don't have one. I never have...
I've only gotten to play PS3 games at friend's houses...a few of them own PS3's.
I currently only own a N64, PS2 , GC and the Wii. Since I cosplay a lot now I can't really afford other things, I also have no job at the moment. -Tear-

My fiance said we could get a new console once we move in together (after we get married) and I think I will choose the PS3. I want to play Little Big Planet with my friends (as Kai!) and of course have everyday access to Heavenly Sword....the most awesome PS3 game, in my eyes anyway. :D

Assassin's Creed II is coming out, I still need to play the first one (which we have...). I want to play God of War III too :O!!

There's a new Zelda game, the Spirit Tracks one but I don't really care of DS Zelda games that much. They're okay...but meh.. :( I prefer waiting for the big platform games... Like the new Zelda game for wii that will probably arrive in 2011.

Ah...I'm going to Robbie's house again to play more HS. Why must playing as Kai be so challenging? It's still fun though...just controlling those dang arrows.. >:O
